New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party is likely to make government in Delhi as Congress had respond to the 18 conditions of Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal had hold a meeting on Tuesday but it is budge from its stand on the formation of government.
AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said, “We will meet Political Affairs Committee and discuss the next steps.”
As the positive respond given by Congress on 18 conditions of AAP, Congress said that out of 18, 16 conditions don’s need legislative approval.
Meanwhile sources claimed that Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung had recommended on Monday for President’s Rule in the Delhi as no party is ready to form a government.
The Lieutenant Governor had said that Delhi Assembly be kept in suspended animation and sent a report to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As AAP, the second runner party for the formation of government after BJP which have got 32 seats in Assembly election, expressed to not form government in Delhi due to shortage of four seats. AAP have got 28 seats, sought more time to try and form government in Delhi.
Delhi has 70-membered house and majority mark to form government is 36. BJP has shortage of 4 MLAs while AAP has shortage of 8 MLAs. BJP had denied taking support to any party and showing its inability to form government.
Arvind Kejriwal, the convener of AAP had sent letters to BJP president Rajnath Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi listing 18 conditions and asking them at their party’s stand.
