Indore: Pramod Kumar Dwivedi, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee’s Legal and Human Rights Department’s General Secretary had sent a notice of defamation to yoga guru Baba Ramdev over his controversial statement on Congress party workers over the issue of homosexuality on Friday.
Reports claimed that Ramdev have said, “It appears that many Congress activists were supporting gay sex as they are homosexuals.”
Dwivedi said, “We have also demanded that he should issue a written statement in newspapers apologising to Congress President Sonia Gandhi failing which legal action would be taken against him.”
Dwivedi said that the social reputation of workers of Congress had been damaged and they are facing the humiliating situations at many places due to controversial statement of Ramdev.
