BJP force Kejriwal for removal of Law Minister Somnath BhartiNew Delhi:  Congress and BJP had now pressurising to the government of Delhi for either removal of to the Law Minister Somnath Bharti from office by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal or Law Minister must resign. Notify that AAP is now tackling allegations that Somnath Bharti had tried to influence a witness and tamper with evidence in a case he handled last year.

Notify that Somnath Bharti and his client were fighting a corruption case in a CBI court in August 2012 in Delhi when the judge said their conduct is “not only highly objectionable, unethical, but also amounts to tampering with evidence.”

However, Bharti has denied the charges. He tweeted, “Will expose the CBI and its nexus to the hilt, wait for sometime.”

BJP leader Harsh Vardhan said, “This is a very serious allegation against Somnath Bharti. He misbehaved with his law secretary once. Now there is fresh evidence that he tried to tamper with evidence in an important case.”

Shakeel Ahmed said, “Kejriwal must deliver on his promise that he made to the people of zero tolerance towards corruption.”

Meanwhile Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal defended his minister and said the court observation “completely wrong.”

Kejriwal said, “A sting operation has been called tampering of evidence – it is not tampering of evidence.”
