New Delhi: BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Tuesday launched a series of initiatives designed to help it establish a direct connect with voters just before the main Opposition party heads into a three-day national-level meeting from Friday.
According to BJP’s treasurer Piyush Goel, a collection drive announced in December by the name of Modi-for-PM fund in which the party aims to get donations of Rs.10 to Rs. 1000 from about 20 crore families for election campaign of Narendra Modi. The party has also facilitated e-donations on its re-launched website.
The party will also begin a new campaign to collect iron for a massive Sardar Patel statue, nearly twice the size of the Statue of Liberty, in Gujarat, Narendra Modi’s state. The statue is Modi’s pet project and the iron collection drive is also seen as a mass-contact programme.
Notify that narendra Modi is the prime ministerial candidate from BJP for Lok Sabha elections which are due by May this year.
The BJP also has a aggressive social media and web strategy for the polls and National President of BJP had launched a new portal and several new election-related websites today.
