Good days will come soon in 2 to 4 months- ModiNew Delhi: BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday said, “I won’t disagree with the PM, there are good times for India ahead in the next 2-4 months.” He also questioned, “Need I say more.” Modi, here, take a dig at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Modi said, “The focus in India has now shifted to the state governments from the Centre. Its a good sign.”

He also said, “Petty politics between states and centre harms the country.”

Modi said while addressing the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas Sammelan in Delhi, “I assure all NRIs that India will never let you down.”

Modi said, “We must ensure that we welcome 75 years of independence by making India a developed country.”

Notify that the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) is India’s flagship annual event to connect with its diaspora spread across the globe. President Pranab Mukherjee will confer the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Samman’ awards on Thursday as he closes the 12th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention being held from January 7.

A spokesperson of Rashtrapati Bhavan said that Mukherjee will also deliver his address on the occasion.

More than a thousand delegates are participating in the three-day event which is expected to open up horizons of a strong network of young overseas Indians to contribute to India’s engagement with youth in all sectors.

Modi also added NRIs should not be “weighed in dollars and pounds” and their experience should be used to give new direction to the nation.

Modi said, “When we talk about NRIs, we think that they will bring dollars and pounds. Our Indian brothers and sisters should not be weighed in dollars and pounds.”

He also stated about the experience and culture and said, “They have a different work culture, global exposure, knowledge and experience. This experience can take us in a new direction.”

While addressing the NRIs meet, Modi said, “Prime minister said something good yesterday (Wednesday). He said one should not lose hope, good days will be back soon.”
