Happy Birthday Rahul Dravid Mumbai: Indian cricketer Dravid, who celebrated his birthday in Perth along with the Indian team, jokingly talked about continuing playing cricket, but till its 40, I am okay. Dravid had a successful 2011. He scored 1145 runs in 12 Test matches with 5 hundreds and 4 fifties.

On his Test debut against Sri Lanka in 1996, Dravid had a scored a magnificent 95. He is the third Indian to have scored 10, 000 runs after Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar and the sixth player in the world.

Dravid was appointed the captain of the Indian team in November 2005 and was at the helm of affairs till mid-2007. He led India to series win in West Indies in 2006, the first since 1971 and in England in 2007.

Dravid said, In terms of just significance, in terms of what it meant for me, from having started my career and ended up at 95 at Lord’s, and then come back, Lord’s would have to be the favorite innings of this year.

Talking about confidence, Dravid said, “Feeling good is important. Confidence can be a great thing. Sometimes things don’t go for you. You get a bad run, you get a couple of good balls, and you lose a bit of confidence.  Even if it is an ugly hundred an ugly big score sometimes maybe makes you feel confident when you are going out next time.
