Chandigarh: The engine of the newly introduced train “Shri Shakti Express” for base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir was failed due to which the train stuck in a tunnel for about 2 hours on Wednesday morning five kms before Katra Railway Station.
The train was launched a day earlier from New Delhi. NC Goyal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ferozepur Division, under which the rail network in Jammu and Kashmir falls, said that the train had reached Katra at 7 AM against the scheduled arrival time of 5.10 AM.
