New Delhi: National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) had given a list of states in which dowry harassment rate implies under which Uttar Pradesh had topped in list. Uttar Pradesh had highest number of dowry deaths in 2013 and Bihar is on number 2 in this list. The undivided Andhra Pradesh stood on third position.
The total number of dowry harassment in 2013 in Uttar Pradesh in 2013 was 2,335 and in Bihar it was 1,182. West Bengal, with 18,116, recorded highest number of dowry harassment cases to be followed by Rajasthan 15,094 cases and Andhra Pradesh 15,084 cases.
