AAP met with LG and asked to withdraw letterNew Delhi: National convenor of Aam Aadmi Party and former Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders had met with Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung on Wednesday and asked him to withdraw his letter in which he suggested President to invite BJP to form government in Delhi.

They also handed over the CD of “sting” operation which showed BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar offering AAP legislator Dinesh Mohaniya four crores to switch sides.

NDTV cannot independently verify the video or its contents.

AAP says the 17-minute video is proof of its allegation that the BJP is trying to coax opposition legislators with the offer of money and posts.

Notify that Kejriwal had claimed on Tuesday that BJP has been in touch with 15 of their MLAs.

The BJP’s Sanjay Kaul retorted, “You cannot buy what is not on sale. If people are willing to leave AAP as they are insecure about their future, they will certainly negotiate with other parties.”

The BJP, along with its allies, has 29 members in the Delhi assembly and needs five more for a majority. AAP has gone to the Supreme Court to try and prevent the BJP from forming a government.

On Tuesday, the BJP government at the Centre told the court that the process of government formation had started with the Lieutenant Governor’s recommendation.

Meanwhile BJP had replied to the court that they are waiting for the invitation and then they will decide over the formation of government in National Capital.
