Srinagar: Provincial President of National Conference (NC) Nasir Aslam Wani had kicked a party worker in Ganderbal on Wednesday in a party convention.
Nasir is close confident of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and he loose his temper on party worker.
A witness said, “Wani lost his cool and came down from the stage and repeatedly kicked a party worker. His action was resented by other workers who warned of election boycott if the party leaders don’t change their attitude towards their workers.”
Reports said security personnel stopped another worker who tried to confront Nasir Aslam Wani.
Several party workers had left the convention amid anti-NC slogans soon after this incident.
The NC had organized a party convention in Beehama Ganderbal at their district office. As the convention started, several supporters of Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar stood up and raised slogans against the party.
Party workers had alleged that the party is in no mood to award mandate to Sheikh Ishfaq as promised to him by the party leadership.
