Beijing: A landslide struck a highway construction site in which at least 19 people were killed and two other injured in Shaanxi Province of China.
Rescuers said the landslide engulfed the eight temporary dormitory rooms for construction workers who were sleeping inside.
Rescuers said that landslide broke down eight make-shift boarding houses and buried 21 construction workers on Friday.
Media reports claimed that nine workers died on the spot, ten others succumbed to their injuries at a hospital and two others are undergoing treatment.
The workers were working in a highway expansion project, connecting Huangling to Yan’an city in Shaanxi.
