Haryana polls: Adampur lacks basic amenities as caste politics dominateAdampur: While political parties busy focusing on caste arithmetic during the election season, Adampur are still lagging behind in terms of development. Even basic amenities are a distant dream for the people of Adampur.

Blaming the present government of ignoring the area, Umavati, a resident of Adampur said, “The main problem of this area is lack of drinking water. We hardly get any water to drink. We have discussed this issue several times with our leader but nothing has changed.

Renuka Bishnoi from Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) is the present MLA from the constituency. This time her husband Kuldeep Singh Bishnoi is the HJC candidate for October 15 Assembly elections.

Locals feel that because of this caste politics they are being deprived of even basic necessities.

Guddi, a resident of Ceeswal village in Adampur, said, “I have lost faith in all these political parties. They are only concerned about winning and losing. Our requirements don’t matter to them.

Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Karan Singh Ranauliya thinks that this time people will vote in favour of development rather than indulging in caste politics. “HJC won’t get any seat in this election, INLD may win five to six seats but majority votes will be in favour of BJP.

Praveen Arya, a resident of Balsamand village in Adampur said, “We will vote for the development and not for the caste. With Congress nowhere to be seen in Adampur, there will be a three-way battle between HJC, INLD and BJP.
