After Wagah border explosion, Pakistan Taliban faction threatens PM ModiNew Delhi: After claiming responsibility for the suicide bombing at the Wagah border in Pakistan that killed at least 60 people and left over 110 injured, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban, has directly threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Jamaat Ahrar (TTP-JA), a faction of the Pakistan Taliban group, has called Modi the “killer of Muslims” and has vowed to avenge the “people of Kashmir and Gujarat.”

Ehsan said that the dastardly attack near the Attari-Wagah border crossing that left more than 60 people dead, was a message to both, India and Pakistan.

He tweeted, This attack was a message to the governments on both sides of the border. If we can carry out an attack on this side, then we can attack the other side too. @narendramodi @RabiaAnumm You are the killer of hundreds of Muslims. We wl take the revenge of innocent people of Kashmir amd Gujrat.

This is not the first time that Modi has faced an open threat from a Pakistan-based terror group after coming to power in May this year. In September, Al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri had announced an India wing to the terror outfit, and had explicitly mentioned its plans of “rescuing” Muslims in the states of Gujarat and Kashmir among others.

Indian Mujahideen members have also reportedly joined hands with the new Al-Qaeda wing in the subcontinent, and Modi has reportedly received several intelligence inputs that the transnational terror groups could launch attacks in India any time soon. According to report , Modi has been briefed twice in the last fortnight on terror threats from the Pakistan-based outfits.
