Clean chit to Srinivasan, Meiyappan in IPL match-fixingNew Delhi: The report of Mukul Mudgal Committee over IPL spot-fixing had given the clean chit to N Srinivasan and his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan. The report claimed that they both were not involved in match-fixing.

Meanwhile the report didn’t provide any relief to Rajasthan Royals’ co-owner Raj Kundra in involvement in betting.

The finding of the report claimed that he failed to take action despite being aware of corruption in the IPL.

The report said, “Srinivasan and four others were aware of the violation of Players Code of Conduct but did not take any action.”

Srinivasan said, “Thank you so much, will react after reading the judgement,” over clean chit.

The report said that Meiyappan did meet a bookie in his hotel room but there is no evidence of his involvement in match-fixing.

It said, “Investigations have confirmed that this individual was an official of the Chennai [Super Kings] team franchise. There is no material available on record to show that this individual was involved in match-fixing.”

Meanwhile report evolve Kundra saying that he was in touch with bookies for betting.

The Mudgal report said, “Raj Kundra was in touch with bookies and has violated IPL Anti-Corruption Code. There is material to indicate he was placing bets.”

It also said, “The committee has also found that investigation against Raj Kundra was stopped by Rajasthan Police.”
