New Delhi: Leader of Aam Aadmi Party and former Speaker of Delhi Assembly MS Dhir had joined Bharatiya Janata Party and give controversial statement on Friday. He said that former Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal does not deserve second chance to rule in Delhi.
Dhir told media in a press conference that he would urge other AAP lawmakers to follow him.
He said, “The BJP will form the next government in Delhi. I will serve (the BJP) to the best of my abilities.”
Dhir had attacked on Kejriwal and said, “no one can trust Arvind Kejriwal anymore” after his abrupt resignation in February within 49 days of taking office. “He is asking for a second chance. I believe he will run away in 29 days this time.”
Meanwhile AAP leader Ashutosh said, “We called him and informed him his performance is not good and there is bleak possibility of him getting a ticket.”
Reports suggest Dhir was one of the six legislators who had been dropped by AAP as candidates.
Meanwhile Dhir had slammed the charges of Ashutosh and said that he had never asked AAP to give him a ticket to contest, so “there was no question of being denied one.”
