Mumbai: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan had been officially separated on Saturday as a family court had granted divorce.
Mrunalini Deshmukh, lawyer of hrithik said, “The court has granted divorce to both of them. It was a divorce by mutual consent.”
Hrithik Roshan had married to Sussanne on 2000 and has two children. The couple had approached court in April this year and filed an application for separation by mutual consent.
The couple had called off their marriage on December 14 last year.
Hrithik said in its statement that Sussanne decided to walk out of their 13-year-old marriage.
In a separate statement, Hrithik, had called the split “our own individual choices.”
She said, “We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own individual choices. We are parents of two wonderful kids and our responsibility remains to protect and take care of them. Nothing can change that…”
