Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party Mayawati alleged on today that Akhilesh Das, who recently resigned from the party, offered her Rs 100 crore in return for Rajya Sabha ticket. Das, who was also party’s national general secretary, is a BSP Member of Parliament.
Akhilesh Das wanted me to send him to Rajya Sabha again for which he was ready to give me Rs 100 Crore. I refused because he did not contribute in growth of the party; he failed to bring vaishya community close to BSP. I told him even if you give Rs 200 crore, I will not give ticket to you, she said.
The BSP supremo also announced that Dalit candidates Raja Ram and Veer Singh (Bir Singh) would be party’s candidates for Rajya Sabha elections. Ten seats of Rajya Sabha from UP are going for polls on November 20. Based on the numerical strength in the Assembly ruling Samajwadi Party will send 6 Rajya Sabha MP’s while BSP can send only two from Uttar Pradesh.
