New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday had given the ultimatum to the Member of Parliament of Bharatiya Janata Party to declare their assets within 48 hours on the website of Parliament.
Notify that black money was the top priority issue during the election campaigning for General election by BJP and it had faces several flakes after coming in power. As a part to clarify the stand, this move PM Modi had taken to show the efforts toward black money issue.
A study had showed that no less than 41 or 91 per cent of Modi’s ministers were crorepatis. This compares rather favorably with the United Progressive Alliance II’s Council of Ministers, where 47 of 79 ministers just about 60 per cent were similarly wealthy.
In NDA government, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is the richest minister with the assets of 114.03 crore.
Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Rs.108.31 crore) on second position and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy Piyush Goyal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (Rs.94.66 crore).
