Mumbai: The actor’s life is truly Bollywood style rags-to-riches story Born in a chaw in Mumbai, to Nirmal and Surinder Kapoor. Anil started his career with a supporting role in ‘Hamare Tumhaare’ in 1979 but his lead role came in ‘Woh Saath Din’ for which he was highly appreciated.
The actor has been a cult star for many of his movies including – ‘Mr India’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Nayak’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Saheb’ etc. Kapoor has made his mark in all genres, whether it be comedy, action masala films or serious films, Anil Kapoor is loved by one and all. He has also been the part of Academy Award winning ‘Slumdog Millionare’.
He made his TV debut with ’24’ in 2013 which turned out to be a huge success. Anil’s daughter Sonam Kapoor is also an established actress in Bollywood. We wish the star a very happy birthday, and hope he continues to enthrall us with his incessant energy and unstoppable charm.
Anil had tweeted on Tuesday, “I’m really happy that I’ll be spending time with my wife Sunita and my daughters Rhea and Sonam. We’re flying to Dubai for my birthday and Christmas. But unfortunately, my son Harshvardhan can’t join us. He is shooting for Rakeysh’s (Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s) ‘Mirziya’ in the interiors of Rajasthan,” he said.
Anil Kapoor, who was last seen in Race 2 and Bombay Talkies, is one of the most recognized Bollywood actors globally.
