Kota: The legislature of Bharatiya Janata Party from Kota north of Rajasthan Prahlad Gunjal had been suspended for threatening and abusing Kota Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) #Dr. RN #Yadav on Friday.
Notify that Prahlad Gunjal had expressed regret for ‘threatening’ CMHO Yadav early on Friday as Rajasthan Chief Minister #VasundharaRaje sought a report on the entire matter.
Gunjal said he has tendered a written apology to the CM and BJP state president.
Meanwhile BJP had ordered Rajasthan CM Raje for immediate suspension of Gunjal. CM Raje had also ordered for investigations against Gunjal.
Gunjal had tried to defend his actions and maintained that whatever he said against Yadav was an emotional outburst.
BJP MLA said, “My intention was not to hurt anyone and I have expressed regret over it.”
He also said that it was part of a conspiracy against him.
Meanwhile Dr Yadav had decided to opt for voluntary retirement. Gunjal said that there was no reason for him to do so and stressed that government officials have nothing to fear in the state.
Gunjal also tried to close the topic and suggested that the matter should be considered as closed now.
The case shot into limelight after Gunjal was caught on tape threatening Dr. Yadav with dire consequences for not issuing transfer orders to the kin of a party worker.
However, Dr Yadav appears to be in no mood to let go of the issue and said he still fears for the safety of his family.
Notify that Gunjal had tried to justify his action and said, “I did call the CMHO and ask him for the transfer of a male nurse, who is the brother-in-law of a party worker. But I did not threaten or intimidate him. But, yes, I scolded him as I was very angry.”
He added that he had asked for the transfer on four occasions but the CMHO had not complied.
