Chennai : The Tamil Nadu government has raised questions over the #Centre’s proposal to allocate 50 MW of power from the #Kudankulam nuclear power plant to #Telangana.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O #Pannerselvam said it has learnt that 50 MW of the 150 MW unalloacted power of #Kudankulam Atomic Power Plant Unit-II will be given to #Telangana.
He said the state government in a memorandum submitted in June 2014 had asked for the entire unalloacted power for Tamil Nadu.
“As you are aware, Tamil Nadu has come forth with all necessary inputs like land, water etc for the expeditious completion of the project while neighbouring states were not supportive. The deft handling of the issue by the state government ensured that there was no disruption in commissioning and running of the Kudankulam Atomic Power Plant,” he said in the letter.
