Patna: A man had hurl shoe at the Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi on Monday during Janata Durbar (public meeting) programme at his resident in Patna after which he had been arrested by police.
The man had been identified as Amitesh Kumar from Chhapra of Saran district. It had been reported that he was fed up with visiting the Chief Minister’s Janata Durbar for the last two years for redressal of his grievances.
Amitesh had also accused Manjhi for promoting caste politics in the state.
The shoe, however, missed the Chief Minister, who was sitting on his chair while taking complaints from the people.
While arresting Amitesh Kumar by security personnel, he shouted, “please kill me.. I don’t want to live now..I’m fed up with the system and this farce of the Janata Durbar”.
In police custody, he shouted, “Only grievance letters and papers are being collected here but noone bothers to take action on them. I’ve been visiting here for the last two years but noone takes care of his grievances.”
