New Delhi: The second Union Budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government will present on February 28. The Economic Survey will be out on February 27. Modi government will unveil the Budget of Railway on February 26.
The second Budget Session will begin from February 23 and continue till March 20 after which there will be a recess till April 19. The session will resume from April 20 till May 8.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is likely to present a growth oriented budget focussing on industrial revival, job creation and boosting the agricultural sector as the economic situation had showed the signs of improvement.
Meanwhile President Pranab Mukherjee had shown its objection to the ‘Ordinance route’. Central government is planning to introduce the recent ordinances as Bills in the Budget Session.
Sources say if the government fails to pass them in Rajya Sabha were it does not enjoy a majority, a joint session of Parliament may be called.
