#AAP’s #YogendraYadav may be pushed out of decision-making #panelNew Delhi: One of the founder members of Aam Aadmi Party Yogendra Yadav may soon lose a top party post.

Sources in AAP claimed on Friday that Yadav on Friday authorized Delhi Chief Minister and national convener of party Kejriwal to resign the Political Affairs Committee – its top decision making panel currently headed by Yadav.

The decision was taken in a meeting to which Yadav and another leader Prashant Bhushan were not invited.

Prashant Bhushan said, “It was an informal meeting. I have no idea and I don’t want to comment on internal party matters.”

Notify that Arvind Kejriwal took charge as Delhi’s Chief Minister on February 14, after AAP won a historic mandate to take power in the capital, winning 67 of the 70 seats in the assembly. But days after its success, the party’s inner divide has resurfaced.

Seeds of a massive resigns were reportedly planted on Thursday, when the 21-member national executive met at a location near Delhi, away from media attention.

Amid tension between Kejriwal and Yogendra Yadav since the party’s abysmal national election debut last year came to a head when the AAP chief reportedly texted to a member that he wanted to quit as national convener and only focus on the Delhi government.

Meanwhile several leaders went to Kejriwal’s home hours later the announcement and discussed a plan to revamp the leadership, till late night.
