Peshawar: Militants attacked at a mosque of Peshawar of Pakistan during prayer which had claimed 11 lives with more than 60 people injured on Friday.
Some media reports had claimed that worshippers inside the mosque have reportedly been taken hostage by the militants and militants were exchanging fire with security forces.
The mosque was targeted in the Hayatabad area of Peshawar, capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
At least three explosions and gunfire were heard. The nature of explosions is not known yet. The militants reportedly wore uniforms of security personnel and used hand grenades.
All hospitals in the area have been put on high alert.
Notify that militants of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had massacre in Army School of Peshawar on December 16, 2014 which caused death of at least 150 people, including 136 students.
