New Delhi: In the recent investigation in Corporate espionage, the investigation had found that papers from Defence Ministry also leaked. The story had been broke by Times Of India newspaper which stated that scandal had extended to Ministry Of Defence (MOD) and one of its staffer being questioned, the crime branch arrested him on Tuesday morning.
The police had interrogated the employee, Virender, for more than six hours on Monday.
The scandal has grown bigger on Monday with police launching a probe into documents allegedly stolen from the defence ministry.
Police had said that the accused also made fake identity cards for arrested energy consultant Lokesh Sharma to facilitate his entry into ministries.
It had been expected that after the leakage of classified defence documents coming into the probe ambit, cops could press for invoking the Official Secrets Act.
Notable that Defence is the fourth ministry, after oil, coal and power, to enter the list of compromised departments.
