The #national #executive #meet of #AAP on February 26New Delhi: The national executive meet of Aam Aadmi Party had been scheduled for February 26. It will be the first meeting of AAP after its spectacular victory in Delhi Assembly elections and it has been expected that AAP’s leaders will discuss its future strategies to expand its base across India.

It has also been expected that leaders across the country will participate in the meeting scheduled on February 26 next week.

A party leader said, “Before the national executive, the Political Affairs Committee will meet to set an agenda for the meeting.”

This will be the first national executive meeting after the Delhi assembly polls victory. The last meeting was held at Sangrur in Punjab, incidentally, after party’s rout in the Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting will be attended by leaders from different states and will assess the impact of AAP’s victory in their regions. Also, decisions like whether the party should contest polls in other states will be taken.

Another party leader said, “There is a demand from volunteers that we contest Municipal elections in Mumbai and Bangalore. These cities have strong party volunteer base. But it all depends on whether the party is prepared to go for polls.”

He also said, “There have been different views in the party on what should be our strategy. This requires a lot of debating.”

Meanwhile AAP’s national convener and CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal said in his speech after swearing in that the party would only focus on Delhi for the next five years.

However senior party leader Yogendra Yadav, in his interactions with the media, has said that the party plans to focus on 4-5 states.
