New Delhi: Congress Working Committee and all party MPs had conducted march on Thursday morning from All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters to the residence of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to express solidarity with him. The march had been led by Congress chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
Notify that Special Court of CBI had issued summons to Dr. Singh and other as an accused in a case relating to alleged irregularities in the allocation of coal blocks to Hindalco.
While addressing the journalists, Sonia Gandhi stressed her party’s “unstinted support” for Dr. Singh, “We will fight this legally with all the means at our command. I am sure we will be vindicated.”
Senior leaders including former ministers P Chidambaram, AK Antony, Anand Sharma and Ashwini Kumar spoke to journalists echoing Sonia Gandhi and stressing that Singh was a man of unimpeachable integrity.
