New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Monday, had lunch at the canteen in Parliament. As per reports, PM Modi causally walked in to the canteen which operates from Room number 70 on the first floor of the Parliament building.
The canteen staff and others present were surprised by his sudden arrival. The canteen staff quickly regained composure and accosted him to a table and asked him what he would like to have for lunch.
The PM responded by saying that he will eat whatever has been prepared for lunch. Modi first asked for some water and then ate some salad.
The canteen staff later served him the veg thali (vegetarian platter) which consisted of #sarsonkasaag, #aloosubji, #rajma, #rice, #roti and #curd. The PM paid Rs 29 for the meal.
Modi had three MPs for company at the table; among them was BJP MP from Bihar Chhedi Paswan. In total, there were around 25-30 MPs present in the canteen at that time; the PM mingled with them and chatted with them.
