#HomeMinister #RajnathSingh to visit storm-affected areas of #Bihar todayNew Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will on Friday visit the areas affected by the recent severe storm in Bihar, which killed at least 54 people.

The Home Minister will make an aerial survey of the storm-hit areas. He will be accompanied by Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi.

They will also meet people affected by the storm in the worst hit Purnia district, which suffered the loss of 37 lives. Rajnath Singh will also hold meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and senior officials to take stock of the situation.

At least 54 people died after deadly storms struck the Patna, Purnia and Madhepura districts of Bihar. The state government had announced an ex-gratia of Rs four lakh for the victims’ families.
