New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday before the first anniversary of Central government at the last parliamentary panel meeting lauded Bharatiya Janata Party’s MPs for the efforts that they have put in and said that the past year has been good for the Centre.
PM Modi while discussing the work done by government in the past one year asked all MPs to visit their constituencies from May 26 to 31 and communicate the work done by the Centre. Modi took over as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014 along with a small group of his Council of Ministers.
The PM has also told the MPs that there is a need to improve relations with Pakistan. He said that having good relations with neighboring countries is very important and added that it is only in BJP’s regime that it is possible to improve relations with Pakistan.
This meeting is the last which was held during the ongoing Parliament session. It is also the last meeting before Modi government completes one year in office on May 26.
It had been expected that PM may write an open letter to the nation on the completion of one year in office.
According to BJP sources, party President Amit Shah held a meeting on Monday night with top ministers and party leaders. Sources also say that senior leaders JP Nadda, Anant Kumar, Piyush Goel and Narendra Singh Tomar were present at the meeting.
Notify that a series of meetings are being held to finalize Modi government’s programmes to mark one year in power. The programmes are likely to be finalized after PM Modi’s final approval.
Union Ministers Anant Kumar, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley are fine tuning the Modi government’s one year programme agenda.
