#Jitan Ram #Manjhi supports #NDA to contest #Bihar #electionsNew Delhi: Former Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi had supported National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to contest upcoming Bihar election.

Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) supremo Jitan Ram Manjhi on Thursday extended support to the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA.

Manjhi met BJP President Amit Shah in New Delhi and announced that his party will contest Bihar Assembly elections with NDA.

After meeting, Manjhi said, “The people of Bihar will never allow this alliance (Janata Dal United-Rashtriya Janata Dal partnership) to form a government in Bihar. On June 16 our party leaders are meeting and Hindustani Awam Morcha will decide that how will we help BJP. It is clear that we will have to fight with full force to keep Lalu and Nitish alliance away.”

Apart from Shah, Union Minister Dhamerndra Pradhan, BJP General Secretary in-charge of Bihar Bhupendra Yadav and BJP Joint General Secretary (Organisation) Saudan Singh were also present at the meeting. They also discussed Manjhi formally joining the NDA to strengthen the alliance and take on the JDU-RJD partnership.

However, the final decision on inducting Manjhi, who was expelled from the JDU for not resigning as Bihar chief minister to facilitate Nitish Kumar taking over the post in February 2015, will be taken after meeting Bihar BJP leaders.

Notify that coming together of RJD, JDU, Congress and NCP presents a very formidable challenge to the NDA which also includes Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party and Upendra Khuswaha’s Rashtriya Lok Samata Party to face the upcoming assembly elections of Bihar which are scheduled for this year.
