New Delhi: A passenger had reportedly found a lizard in a lunch tray of an Air India Flight on Thursday.
The incident happened on Delhi-London flight AI 111. A source said, “A passenger had asked for a special meal and so the flight attendant got his food tray from the galley. Soon after it was placed onto the tray, the passenger was heard screaming.”
The lunch that was wrapped in a cling film had a lizard stepping out of its burger.
The passenger had reportedly refused to have anything at all even after flight attendant offered to change the meal.
This resulted into other passengers declining their food from the gallery as well.
The passenger concerned has filed a complaint with the airline. A comment from the airline spokesperson is awaited.
A cabin crew member said, “For months now, we have been complaining to the airline management that the galley carts are not cleaned properly, but to no avail.”
Later, the passenger had filed a complaint with the airline. However, there has been no official response from Air India.
