Panjim: Two women of Delhi had been allegedly #abducted and gang #raped by five men in Goa on Monday. These women were visiting Goa on holiday during which they had been gang raped.
All the five #accused have been #arrested and slapped with gangrape, #kidnapping and #robbery charges.
The women, aged 22 and 30, had hired a taxi to go to #Anjuna beach when the accused stopped them midway in #Arpora village posing as anti-narcotic cell officers.
#Superintendent of #Police Umesh #Gaonkar told #PTI, “The accused posed as policemen and waylaid a taxi in which the two women were travelling to Anjuna on Monday night.”
The men have been identified as Ajaykumar Kushwaha (39), Jeevan Pawar (26), Nadeem Khan (28), Trebor Joseph (27) and Kamlesh Chaudhary (21).
The five men reportedly took the two women to an apartment in #Khobrawaddo, #Calangute where they #sexually assaulted them
All the five accused were arrested on #Wefrom the flat, in the presence of victims, after the #taxi #driver complained to the police.
