Two more #accused in #Vyapam #Scam die in 48 hours, Home Minister denied for #CBI probeBhopal: A veterinary doctor who was an accused in high profile Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or MPPEB scam, died under mysterious circumstances on Saturday night with another accuse Dr Rajendra Arya who was out on bail also died in a hospital in Gwalior on Sunday.

Notify that Tomar was in a jail in Indore since February after he was arrested for allegedly bringing imposters from Uttar Pradesh to answer pre medical tests in 2009 in place of the actual candidates.

On Saturday night, he complained of chest pain and was taken to the Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital in Indore where doctors declared him brought dead.

Dinesh Yadav, constable of district’s jail said, “He complained of chest pain so we rushed him to the hospital. How he died, we do not know.”

Tomar’s brother Vikram Singh said, “The police tell me that my brother complained of chest pain and so they brought him here. When we reached here in the morning we were told he is dead.”

A magisterial probe has been ordered to find the cause of Dr Tomar’s death. But the Opposition Congress, which has been demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe, is far from satisfied.

Congress had alleged the involvement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his family in the scam and see the deaths as a cover up.

Congress General Secretary and former CM of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh said, “Shivraj Singh Chouhan is trying to cover up. PM should speak about it; he does not speak what nation wants to hear.”

The 25 deaths linked to the scandal include that of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav’s son Shailesh Yadav, who allegedly committed suicide.

Meanwhile Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babu Lal Gaur claimed that the deaths have no connection to the Vyapam Scam and refused to order a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into Tomar’s death.

Notable point is nearly 40 people involved in the case, accused as well as witnesses, have died under suspicious circumstances. The most high profile of the cases was the death of former MP governor Ram Naresh Yadav’s son Shailesh Yadav who succumbed after having a brain haemorrhage in March.

Several politicians, including former Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma, a host of officials and scores of aspirants have been arrested in the case.
