New York: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed his support for PM Modi’s Digital India initiative, with a profile picture change emblazoned with the Indian tri-colour, ahead of his townhall meeting with the Indian Prime Minister on Sunday.
Showing his support for the Prime Minister’s “Digital India” initiative, Zuckerberg wrote in a post on Facebook: “I changed my profile picture to support Digital India, the Indian government’s effort to connect rural communities to the internet and give people access to more services online. Looking forward to discussing this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Facebook today.”

PM Modi began his visit to California with meetings with top CEOs including Apple’s Chief Tim Cook, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. All eyes are on now set on his interaction with Zuckerberg at Facebook’s California’s headquarters against the backdrop of the Indian leader’s push for Digital India.
