MUMBAI: A fire broke out at 1.09 pm on the 32nd floor of Hiranandani Tower, a high rise building on SV Road, Kandivali (W). 8 fire engines, 2 ambulances and 3 water tankers have been rushed to the site by the city’s fire brigade. Appropriate agencies have been mobilized. No casualty is reported so far.
Chief Fire officer P Rahangdale said, “Fire is on the topmost floor of the high rise. The 90-metre ladder has been sent to the spot. Presently the fire has been confined to the 32nd floor only.”
The building has been fully evacuated, but search operation is still on.The cause of fire is not yet known. Further details are awaited.
