Noida: Anonymous hackers have repeatedly hacked the website of a leading private school based in Noida in the recent past and uploaded porn content on it, a report said on Tuesday.
A ToI report said that a complaint has been filed by the school in Centre for Cyber Crime Investigation (CCCI) in Sector 6.
The first incident of hacking was reported in September after which the school’s IT department took more corrective measures to secure the website. However, the website has been hacked several times in the last four days, a school officials was quoted as saying.
“We found that when we put our school’s website link in the URL, it leads to some porn websites. We approached police as this is a serious issue,” he added.
The official further stated that the website is automatically being diverted to porn servers in India and also abroad.
The incidents of hacking take a steep rise whenever the school organises some events or programme. “When there are more hits of the website as users seek information on upcoming programmes, the website is hacked,” the official said.
The school management, which has tried to make the website more secure, suspect the involvement of their competitors in the hacking incident.
Vivek Ranjan Rai, inspector CCCI, has confirmed that a complaint has been registered in this regard and the matter is being probed.
