NMotorola's first all-metal smartphone Moto M ew Delhi: The very-first all-metal smartphone from Lenovo-owned Motorola, Moto M, is here. The smartphone priced at abc launched in India today at an event organised by the company in Mumbai. Moto M will be available on open sale starting 15,999 (32GB+ 3GB model) exclusively on Flipkart e-commerce website. The sale starts from tomorrow at 11.59PM.

Motorola and Flipkart are offering some exclusive launch day offers as well. Users who buy the Moto M on the day of the launch will get special exchange offer of up to Rs 2,000 on the old smartphone. Citibank credit card users will get Rs 1000 off on the handset. Other offers include Rs 1000 off on the Moto Pulse 2 headset and EMI options starting Rs 776 per month.

On the looks front, the all-new Moto M sports a design similar to the company’s existing Moto X line-up. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a splash-proof metal unibody design coated with water-repellent nano-coating.

Moto M smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution and a pixel density of around 401ppi. The dual-SIM handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 CPU, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. There is also a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The inbuilt storage can be expanded using a microSD card of up to 256GB.

For imaging duties, Moto M has a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dynamic Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) dual LED flash. There’s also an 8MP selfie-shooter on board. The smartphone is backed by a 3,050mAh battery with 10W ‘Rapid Charger’ support. In addition, the smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos-powered audio technology.

On the connectivity front, the Moto M features Bluetooth v4.1, 4G VoLTE support, USB Type-C port, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The device weighs 163 gram and measures 151.35×75.35×7.85mm. For reference, the flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge measures nearly the same as 7.7mm.

The Moto M smartphone was launched in China last month at 1999 Yuan (approximately Rs 19,900).
