Mumbai: It was being believed that Sunil Grover’s exit and Kapil Sharma’s ill-health led to poorer TRPs for ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. But that may not be the truth. If the latest report is anything to go by, then another person was responsible for the show being taken off air.
According to a report in dnaindia.com, originally attributed to SpotboyE, Rajiv Dhingra, director of Kapil’s second film – Firangi – is responsible for the mess.
The report apparently revealed the drama that happened 4-5 days before the channel finally decided to pull TKSS off air.
Going by the report, not just Sunil but many key members of the team left after Kapil’s Sharma’s mid-flight fight. After this, Dhingra reportedly took charge of the show as creative director.
The channel reportedly tried its best to resurrect the show and make sure it continues to air. But former members of show weren’t ready to return until Dhingra was asked to go. Surprisingly, Kapil didn’t want Dhingra out of the show, the report suggested.
