Mumbai: A pipeline burst in Borivali area of Mumbai late on Tuesday night, damaging several vehicles. The incident occurred at around 1 am on Tuesday night when the 6-inch pipe burst throwing an SUV parked over it up in the air.Three more vehicles reportedly got damaged in the incident. The area is water logged since the bursting of the pipe. Water supply in the area has also been hit severely with several apartments not getting any supply throughout the day.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is repairing the pipeline.
The incident was caught on camera. In the video, passers-by can be seen running to save themselves as water threw the parked SUV up in the air.
