PATNA: Hitting out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Ram Mandir issue, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tej Pratap Yadav on Friday said that the party will built a secular temple in Ayodhya.
Earlier in the day, reports of Tej Pratap claiming that his party will build the Ram Mandir emerged.
Refuting the Ram Mandir remark, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s oldest son took to Twitter to clarify, “At Bihar Sharif’s Dangal programme, I said that BJP claims about building Ram Mandir, but never puts forward a date. We will create a mandir (temple) where everyone prays together – Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christians – a temple for mankind. And then BJP’s mandir issue will finish.”
Last month, the young RJD leader courted controversy by claiming that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi let ghosts loose in his official residence. He later vacated the official residence.
Days later, he was accused of getting a temple constructed on government land.
