Rahul Gandhi to kickstart his 3rd visit to poll-bound Karnataka today.Karnataka: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will on Tuesday kick off the third leg of his tour to poll-bound Karnataka. In his two-day visit, the grand old party chief will be touring the south coastal and Malnad regions.

Rahul, who visited the northern parts of the state in the earlier two rounds, will tour Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts today to participate in ‘Janashirvada Yatre’ of the party.

During his visit, Rahul will go to a temple, a church and a dargah. His today’s visit will conclude with a public meeting at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru.

The Congress concluded it’s three-day plenary on Sunday, with Rahul Gandhi launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party.

Karnataka Assembly elections 2018 are expected to be held in mid-May. The Election Commission is yet to announce the poll schedule. The Siddaramaiah-led Congress government is fighting incumbency.

3:45 PM – Swagat at Surathkal, District Dakshina Kannada

4:30 PM – Swagat at Jyothi Circle, Mangalore, District Dakshina Kannada

5:00 PM – Swagat at Signal Point, District Dakshina Kannada

5:15 PM – Public Meeting to Nehru Maidan, Mangalore, District Dakshina Kannada

7:00 PM – Visit to Rosario Church, Mangalore, District Dakshina Kannada

7:15 PM – Visit to Gokarnanatheswara Temple, Mangalore, District Dakshina Kannada

8:00 PM – Visit to Ullal Dargah, Mangalore, District Dakshina Kannada

Gandhi had visited Karnataka for the first time after becoming the party chief in December 2017. He later, in the first leg of his campaign, he visited Koppal, Ballari, Raichur, Yadigir, Kalaburgi and Bidar districts. In the second leg of the campaign, he visited Belagavi, Vijayapura, Bagalkot and Dharwad districts.
