Tejashwi Yadav slams Bihar govt for communal clashes, calls Nitish Kumar ‘Nero’

Tejashwi Yadav slams Bihar govt for communal clashes, calls Nitish Kumar 'Nero'Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday took a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the recent communal clashes in Bihar during the Ram Navami celebrations.

Taking to Twitter he posted that while the Bihar government was ‘zero’, the ones who were fomenting clashes had become ‘heroes’. Yadav also compared Nitish to ‘Nero’, the last Roman emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. His rule is usually associated with tyranny and extravagance. It is also said that the great fire of Rome was supposedly instigated by Nero to clear the way for his planned palatial complex, the Domus Aurea.

In another tweet, he said, “Bihar is run by RSS from Nagpur and Delhi. Nitish Kumar is just a puppet in hands of BJP and RSS.”

On April 4, 2018, the RJD had attacked the Nitish government for failure to check communal tensions and had charged the CM with having “surrendered” before his ally, the BJP.

Releasing a 72-page ‘chargesheet’, Tejashwi, who is the leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, also said that the less than a year-old NDA government was an “all-round failure” and the state got no benefits which were promised while the BJP was acquiring power “through back door”.

Meanwhile, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi had trashed the charge sheet as a “bundle of lies.”

He had returned to power in the 2015 Assembly elections as the CM candidate of the Grand Alliance that comprised JD(U), RJD and Congress.

Nitish, however, had walked out of the alliance and formed a new government with the BJP in July 2017 following corruption cases against Tejashwi , who was then his deputy.
