#HYDERABAD: #Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao expanded his cabinet on Tuesday by inducting ten more ministers with as many as six new faces.
CM KCR’s son K T Rama Rao and nephew T Harish Rao, both of whom served in the earlier ministry, have not been accommodated in the new cabinet – at least for now.
Mr KTR was IT and municipal administration minister in the earlier cabinet, while T Harish Rao was irrigation minister.
The new ministers were sworn in by Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan. There were many first timers in the 10 new ministers. With this the total strength of the cabinet will be 12. There can be a total of 18 ministers in the cabinet, so another cabinet expansion is likely in the coming days.
Medchal MLA Ch Malla Reddy, Mahbubnagar legislator V Srinivas Goud, Wanaparthy MLA Singirreddy Niranjan Reddy, Palakurthi legislator Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Balkonda MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Dharmapuri MLA Koppula Eshwar are first time ministers.
Among the ministers who have been retained in the new ministry by KCR included Nirmal MLA Indrakaran Reddy who was the first one to take oath on Tuesday. Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav,
Suryapet MLA Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy, and Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajendar were the other ministers who were re-inducted in the second term of KCR as chief minister.
