The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led three-party alliance has wrested power from the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Jharkhand Assembly election results 2019. The Jharkhand Assembly election results were declared on Monday and the Maha Gathbandhan alliance JMM-Congress & RJD registered a landslide victory bagging 47 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly. The JMM has won 30 seats and the Congress 16, RJD 1 seat while the BJP got only 25 seat, The Bharatiya Janata Party which had a clear majority in the House with 37 seats, managed to only win 25 Assembly constituencies in the 2019 Jharkhand polls. smaller party #AJSU 2, #JVM 3, NCP 1, CPI ML 1 and 2 independent. JMM working president Mr Hemant Soren addressed a press conference and thanked the people of Jharkhand for the historic mandate. Hemant Soren said the people of Jharkhand have given a clear majority to JMM-Congress-RJD Maha Gathbandhan combine. Hemant Soren, who has been projected as the chief ministerial candidate of the Congress-JMM-RJD Maha Gathbandhan alliance, said all the opposition partners will meet to “strategize the future course of action”. Hemant Soren had contested the Jharkhand Assembly election 2019 from two Assembly constituencies Barhait and Dumka – and won both of them.
