NewDelhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday slammed BJP accusing them of making and circulating ‘fake’ videos showing the poor conditions of mohalla clinics in the national capital. Kejriwal said that BJP is demeaning the people of Delhi by making such fake videos as they have worked really hard to establish 450 World Class mohalla clinics across the national capital.
Sharing a news article, Kejriwal wrote, ”The BJP once again mocked the people of Delhi by making fake videos. Delhiites worked hard to build 450 World Class mohalla clinics. Delhi’s name has gone high in the world map. Today, BJP’s lie was caught in media investigation. The people of Delhi are very happy with the mohalla clinic.”
Minutes after sharing the article, Kejriwal uploaded a video in which he said that if you are BJP supporter stay at your party but vote for AAP because this government has worked really hard for the development of Delhi in last five years.
On January 30, BJP President JP Nadda shared a two-minute video clip on his Twitter timeline, wherein CM Kejriwal claims construction of 1,000 Mohalla Clinics, which he has repeated every year. Nadda wrote, “Mr Kejriwal, you promised to open 1,000 Mohalla clinics every year. Far from opening 1,000 clinics, whatever is thrown open, there are neither medicines, nor any facilities. The shallow politics of AAP has also deprived the poor of Modi ji”s ”Ayushman Bharat Yojana”, which offers free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh annually to the poor of Delhi.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Kejriwal, tweeting, “After the education revolution, now the health revolution of Kejriwal government is exposed. Will the poor of Delhi get their operation done in this? For the sake of your selfish politics, you have kept Delhi”s poor away from Modi ji”s ”Ayushman Yojana”. You have to answer for the sins you have committed by playing with their lives.”
In the meantime, AAP has received support from Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress (TMC) ahead of the upcoming assembly election in Delhi. On Thursday, TMC national spokesperson Derek O’ Brien uploaded a video backing AAP in Delhi election and on his Twitter handle endorsing Kejriwal.
Delhi will go to polls on February 8 and the results will be held on February 11.
