Bangalore: In a horrific incident, a six-year-old girl has been gang-raped in an upmarket school in East Bangalore. The incident has triggered protests outside the school with parents alleging that the authorities used their power to downplay the issue.
According to investigating officers, the Class I student was gang-raped by two staffers of Vibgyor School during school hours. A gym instructor and a security guard have been detained. The girl is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
One other incident in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, A 65-year old man was arrested for raping his teenage granddaughter for more than 5 months and forcing her to undergo abortion.
Both the parents of the girl go to work and she used to stay alone with her grandfather, said police. as per the complaint Assu Beg, 65, had been raping his 16-year old granddaughter since March 1, this year, Police said.
It was only after the girl became pregnant and was made to undergo abortion by the accused, that her mother came to know about the incident, police said citing the complaint. Based on the complaint a case was registered and investigations initiated, police said.
