WB Government had rejected for PM Modi’s Teachers’ Day speech

New Delhi: The West Bengal government has denied following the directive for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Teachers’ Day speech. It said that it will go ahead with its own programme for Teachers’ Day.  Notify that schools across nation are preparing to telecast the live speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the students on Friday. Even no private school had objected for the following directives. Human Resource Development Ministry had planned it after which controversy had been sparked. The ministry plans to show Narendra Modi's speech and subsequent interaction with children across the country via TV and webcast. Students will be asked to stay back till 5 pm on Friday to hear the address. Meanwhile after Opposition parties had slammed the government for inconveniencing teachers, students and parents, HRD ministry had maintained that attendance is not mandatory.
