Nine Army personnel washed away during rescue operations in J&KPulwama: Army had put in for the rescue operation in the flood hit of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation gets a major setback whennine personnelof Indian Army had been washed away in Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir. Now the rescue operation for the Army soldiers is currently underway.

A red alert had been issued for some parts of South Srinagar as Jhelum River has breached its embankment in Pulwama.

Notify that more than 120 people have lost their lives in the past two days in heavy rains and floods. Traffic on the Jammu-Pathankot highway has been stopped after incessant rain.

As there is a landslide at many places along the track in Udhampur in Jammu, All trains bound for Katra, including the recently launched Katra Express, have been suspended.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is moving teams to Srinagar and Jammu for rescue and relief operations.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh had visited the flood-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir and meet with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Singh held a meeting with Omar Abdullah to take stock of the flood situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Singh arrived in Srinagar on Saturday morning and went straight into a meeting with the CM in the technical area of the airport where both discussed steps to meet the situation arising out of the worst floods in the state in six decades.
